My
name is Adrian Amiro. I started my Shalott Lilly label a little over
a year ago. I make very strange jewelry, masks....and I paint. I love
putting things together. I use all sorts of pretty flowers, vintage
pieces, glass, beads....and lots of filigree. Every piece is a one of
a kind creation. I feel when a person finds something that truly
speaks to them...it belongs to them.
As for my paintings, they are the most beautiful parts of myself.
Someone I greatly respect told me that we always show where we are at, and to
share that with others. All of my pieces are mixed media, painted in
swirling layers of metallic and acrylic inks. These pieces have been
the greatest adventures of my life. Every painting has been an
experiment in color and emotion...to see where and how the two mix. I
have stories for every piece, but I truly think the view should
be meaning. Make it personal. Art has the amazing ability to effect
people...to make them feel. That is the entire point...for me anyway.
